⁣Why would democrats reject this?

• (R) Senator Shannon Grove introduced the Bill SB 14
— the purpose was to make the purchasing of children via sex trafficking a felony
— Senate Dems Forced amendments to exclude 16 and 17 Years Old Violations and remain a misdemeanor, punishable by 2 cushy days in prison and/or a $10k fine.

• (R) Shannon Grove’s bill would have enforced the following into law:
— a prison sentence ranging from 2 to 4 years
— and/or a fine not exceeding $25,000,
— the criminal would have to register as a sex offender.
